Hope is like a lifeline. It is a weapon of war. Hope is a rugged determination to move on when the road is very rough. It is the only bridge that links promise to fulfillment. Hope displaces discouragement; it is the major sign of faith in a defendable, dependable, and responsible God Hope in God is the secret of every spiritual exploit. When hope is gone. hopelessness, frustration and discouragement vets-in
1) Hope is a “force that brings people into their promised land, 1Kg 8:58 Twelve spies were sent to see the land of Canaan. The twelve of them saw the same thing but only two out of ten introduced HOPE when giving a report. The majority said they were like grasshoppers before the giants. Only Caleb and Joshua who believed in the ability of the Lord of Host to save saw the promised land, the rest were wasted like grasshoppers in the wilderness Are you confronted with giant problems? Don’t lose hope!
2) Hope makes a way where it is impossible, Ruth 1:8-19, Ruth got married to a diligent man, yet they lived in the pool of poverty. She believed in the God of Israel, they waited on the lord for ten years for the fruit of the womb. The father-in-law died and thereafter her husband died too. Naomi (the mother-in-law) called and advised her to go and remarry to start a new life. Her husband was late, and even if she got married, can an old widow have a child? If the child comes, will you wait considering your age and menopause? Ruth replied my hope in God of Israel will never shake. Are you going through trials of faith? Don’t lose hope!
3) Hope enables you to recover all that is lost. 15 am 30:3-20. David was hired to fight in a battle, on getting to the battle field, he was turned down. He returned home and discovered the enemy had taken over his house, kidnapped his wives and children, and set everything he had worked for in his life on fire. He wept bitterly until there was no strength to weep anymore. Then he remembered the danger of losing hope. He encouraged himself, prayed to the lord, pursued his enemies, and was disappointed. Don’t lose hoses and recover all. Have you been betrayed
4) Hope is a weapon of war, 15 am 17:16 David was a teenager, his father sent him to be lunch to his brothers in the battlefield when he: saw Goliath. Goliath was a giant, a champion a fearful. For forty days, the people of Israel could not utter a word as he kept on boasting: David appeared, and he decided to fight the champion with the hope that God who had delivered him from the lion would also deliver Goliath. It was hope that made him rush Goliath and conquer him. Are you confronted with the goliath of life? Don’t lose hope!
5) Hope speaks in faith, Rom 4:18-21. Abraham and his wife were advanced in age, he was impotent and the wife had passed the age of child-bearing. Against hope, he believed in hope The shunamite woman lost her only child a when asked what the problem was, she said all will be well”. Abraham had Isaac and the shunamite’s son was restored to life. What is your language in the center of the storm? Don’t let hope!
6) Have you sinned against God after you ha vowed never to sin again? Repent and forsake your sin. No matter how bad the situation is, is rich in mercy, Is 1:18. Peter and Judas sin against Jesus, Peter wept bitterly and repented he received forgiveness while Judas comma suicide. Sampson fell as a result of his own his eyes were plucked out. In agony Pa repented, his hair grew back and his str was restored. Are you a backslider? Don hope! If you hang on the rope of hope wo sin, expecting a miracle, that is false hope because we cannot remain in sin and continue to an in God’s grace when we deliberately live sinful lives.
