Good name they say is better than silver and gold. Always be happy, avoid jealousy, gossip and backbiting, and rejoice with people that God has blessed and your blessings will locate you. Think and prophecy positively concerning your life and endeavours. Look at people that fail and try to avoid repeating their mistakes. Mingle with people who are rich and find out the secret of their success because for you to be mighty, you must be connected to a mighty man.
THINGS THAT CAN MAKE A MAN HAVE A GOOD NAME:
Hear and follow God wholly:
Those who obey God do not find things difficult. You cannot be worried and still maintain your faith level. As a good Christian, we ought to be humble. Matt 23:12- “Whoever makes himself great will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be made great.” Humility attracts love and favour.
Be unique:
1cor 15:40-41 teaches us how to believe that we are the only one of our kind, while Job 14:14 points the way forward in terms of how to resist the devil and discouragement and then, that good success lies in the word of God. What do you have in mind? Some have chased away the Angels that are assigned to them through their characters. Be focused in your dealings, tough times don’t last.
Promote and support Godly values and principles. Love wisdom and she will make you great. Embrace her and she will bring your honour. She will be your crowning glory. Heb 12:2 advises us to look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
Be willing to do great things that others have failed to do:
Invest in humanity, spiritually and materially Be persistent in the work of God, no matter what you do people must talk. Be ready to assist those who need your help and do not relent in the work of God. God sent Moses to go and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt. Even though Pharaoh insisted on suffering the Israelites, Moses did not relent. He insisted in doing what God has sent him to do which was not an easy task. Our God is merciful, the only thing he needs from you is the right attitude.
Believe in setting standards and going for quality:
Take risks and be bold. Move into action because it is better now than later. Fine-tune your life. Amid nothing believe there is something. When you have faith, you do not need any evidence to show that things will work out. Put- up a Christ-like attitude and stop complaining. God will do it at the right time.
Avoid compromise and corruption at any level.
You must turn away from evil and do good. You must strive for peace with all your heart for the Lord watches over the righteous and listens to their prayers but opposes those who do evil. Be appreciative all the time and admire your fellow beings. Do not be myopic.
Avoid telling lies, and embrace honesty and sincerity:
Do not be a destructive critic or a fault finder Avoid seeing the worst in people’s lives and desist from wrong association and wrong advice Always be known as an honest ma Our purpose is to do what is rig not only in the sight of the Lord b also in the sight of man. Col 3 beckons on us thus: “Do not lie to one another for you have taken old self with its habits.” Do stretch your neck above yo shoulder and simply be yourself as to leave behind a peculiar m worthy of emulation.
